Book Spotlight - A Mrs. Miracle Christmas by Debbie Macomber

A Mrs. Miracle Christmas by Debbie Macomber

Do you enjoy reading Christmas books all year long?  Or..do you only read Christmas books during the Christmas season?

I enjoy reading Christmas books all year round.
The stories are inspiring and keep me in the Christmas spirit!  😃
I received this book as a gift, and I'm looking forward to reading it very soon!

From Debbie Macomber's website:   Mrs. Miracle shows an ordinary family that they are blessed beyond belief in this uplifting holiday tale from #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber.
As the holiday season begins, Laurel McCullough could use some good news. She and her husband, Zach, have been praying for a baby that seems more and more like an impossible dream, and they’ve had to move in with her beloved grandmother, Helen, who’s having trouble taking care of herself. But when Laurel contacts a local home-care organization for help, there are no caregivers available.
Then Mrs. Miracle appears at her door. No stranger to lending a helping hand to a family in need, Mrs. Miracle reveals herself to be nothing short of a godsend. Helen’s even convinced she’s an angel! Still, Laurel has to admit that Helen has become noticeably happier and more engaged, decorating the family Christmas tree and setting up the nativity with Mrs. Miracle’s companionship. In the meantime, Laurel and Zach begin to encounter curious signs, all pointing toward the arrival of a special baby.
With Christmas approaching, there appears to be even more to Mrs. Miracle than meets the eye. In a classic turn of Debbie Macomber’s signature seasonal magic, Laurel, Zach, and Helen experience a holiday of heavenly proportions.

I enjoy reading Christmas books anytime of the year, but especially during the Holidays!  😊
And, I always enjoy reading Christmas stories by Debbie Macomber!

I started reading this book yesterday, I love the story!

Merry and Bright by Debbie Macomber

Published: October 3rd, 2017
Publisher: Random House

From Goodreads:
Merry Knight is pretty busy these days. She's taking care of her family, baking cookies, decorating for the holidays, and hoping to stay out of the crosshairs of her stressed and by-the-book boss at the consulting firm where she temps. Her own social life is the last thing she has in mind, much less a man. Without her knowledge, Merry's well-meaning mom and brother create an online dating profile for her--minus her photo--and the matches start rolling in. Initially, Merry is incredulous, but she reluctantly decides to give it a whirl.

Soon Merry finds herself chatting with a charming stranger, a man with similar interests and an unmistakably kind soul. Their online exchanges become the brightest part of her day. But meeting face-to-face is altogether different, and her special friend is the last person Merry expects--or desires. Still, sometimes hearts can see what our eyes cannot. In this satisfying seasonal tale, unanticipated love is only a click away.

If Not for You was released March 21st, 2017
New Beginnings Series
Publisher - Random House

From debbiemacomber.com

If not for her loving but controlling parents, Beth Prudhomme might never have taken charge of her life and moved from her native Chicago to Portland, Oregon, where she’s reconnected with her spirited Aunt Sunshine and found a job as a high school music teacher. If not for her friend Nichole, Beth would never have met Sam Carney, although first impressions have left Beth with serious doubts. Sam is everything Beth is not—and her parents’ worst nightmare: a tattooed auto mechanic who’s rough around the edges. Reserved and smart as a whip, Beth isn’t exactly Sam’s usual beer-drinking, pool-playing type of woman, either

What's on your Nightstand?

I'm reading several books right now.  I'm reading a Love Inspired Romance book called "Stranded with the Rancher" by Tina Radcliffe and  "Twelve Days of Christmas" by Debbie Macomber.  ( I started "Twelve Days of Christmas" around Christmas time and I'm really enjoying it! )

Review: The Way to a Man's Heart by Debbie Macomber

About the Book:  Meghan O’Day isn’t sure what captures her fancy more: the sexy stranger in her Wichita diner or his reading material. Before long, Grey Carlyle becomes a regular, ordering the nightly specials and chatting with the spirited redhead about the classics. Certain that her favorite customer has an appetite for more than home cooking, Meghan decides it’s time to teach the good professor a thing or two about romance.
Grey notices the sparkle in Meghan’s eyes the moment she opens up about her passion for literature. She’s the breath of fresh air and joy this reserved and lonely teacher needs in his life. They say opposites attract, and Grey becomes a true believer each time he holds Meghan in his arms—even as they hit a few speed bumps on the road to togetherness. But if Grey knows anything about great books, it’s that the best tales always have a happy ending.

My Review:   I really enjoyed this story!  I am familiar with some of the landmarks mentioned in this book, including Friends University - which made reading this story fun!

I like the way that Meghan knows what she wants from life. Grey seems like a quiet professor, however he is open to the possibility of a romance in his life.
Meghan's family is really nice and I liked how they interacted with Grey.

Meghan and Grey have to work thru several challenges while getting to know each other - will love be in their future?  You will have to read the book to find out!  =)

Review - Mr. Miracle by Debbie Macomber

Mr. Miracle by Debbie Macomber
Published:  October 7th, 2014
Hardcover, E-book and Audiobook

More about the book:
Harry Mills is a guardian angel on a mission: help twenty-four-year-old Addie Folsom get her life back on track—and, if the right moment strikes, help her find love. Posing as a teacher at a local college in Tacoma, Washington, Harry is up to the task, but not even he can predict the surprises that lay in store.
After trying to make it on her own, Addie has returned home to Tacoma for the holidays, but this time she plans to stay for good, enrolling in the local community college to earn her degree. What she doesn’t plan to do is run into Erich Simmons.
Addie and her next-door neighbor, Erich, are like night and day. Growing up, he was popular and outgoing while she was rebellious and headstrong, and he never missed an opportunity to tease her. Now she intends to avoid him entirely, yet when they’re suddenly forced to spend Christmas together, Addie braces for trouble.
Perhaps it’s the spirit of the season or the magic of mistletoe, but Addie and Erich soon find they have more in common than they thought—and that two people who seem so wrong for each other may actually be just right. With a little prompting from a certain angelic teacher, the two are in for a holiday miracle they’ll never forget.

My thoughts:

I really enjoyed this story!  In fact, Debbie Macomber's Angel series were the first books that I read by her and I have enjoyed reading all of them!

Mr. Miracle is a Christmas themed book, but there is so much more to the story!  The friendship between Addie and her next door neighbor, Erich is so sweet!  They have been friends since grade school and they share alot of sweet memories together.

When Addie moves back in with her Mom, she is not sure that she wants to talk to Erich because he used to tease her so much...but she realizes that he has changed.
Will romance be in their future?  You will have to read the story to find out.  =)

I also enjoyed reading about Harry, the guardian Angel posing as a Teacher.  He experiences some very real human feelings as he makes friends at the College where he is teaching, ( and even lands in a little bit of trouble involving some champagne! )

Dont miss this wonderful story about Angels, Christmas and Love!

Review - "Love Letters" by Debbie Macomber

Publisher: Ballantine Books
Published: August 12, 2014
Format: Hardcover, e-Book, Large Print, Audiobook
A Rose Harbor Novel

About the book:
In this enchanting novel set at Cedar Cove’s cozy Rose Harbor Inn, #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber celebrates the power of love—and a well-timed love letter—to inspire hope and mend a broken heart.
Summer is a busy season at the inn, so proprietor Jo Marie Rose and handyman Mark Taylor have spent a lot of time together keeping the property running. Despite some folks’ good-natured claims to the contrary, Jo Marie insists that Mark is only a friend. However, she seems to be thinking about this particular friend a great deal lately. Jo Marie knows surprisingly little about Mark’s life, due in no small part to his refusal to discuss it. She’s determined to learn more about his past, but first she must face her own—and welcome three visitors who, like her, are setting out on new paths.
Twenty-three-year-old Ellie Reynolds is taking a leap of faith. She’s come to Cedar Cove to meet Tom, a man she’s been corresponding with for months, and with whom she might even be falling in love. Ellie’s overprotective mother disapproves of her trip, but Ellie is determined to spread her wings.
Maggie and Roy Porter are next to arrive at the inn. They are taking their first vacation alone since their children were born. In the wake of past mistakes, they hope to rekindle the spark in their marriage—and to win back each other’s trust. But Maggie must make one last confession that could forever tear them apart.
For each of these characters, it will ultimately be a moment when someone wore their heart on their sleeve—and took pen to paper—that makes all the difference. Debbie Macomber’s moving novel reveals the courage it takes to be vulnerable, accepting, and open to love.
=================================================
My thoughts:
"Love Letters" is the 5th book in the Rose Harbor series, but it can also be read as a "stand-alone book.  I'm a big fan of Debbie Macomber, and really enjoy all of her books!
As we visit the Rose Harbor Inn, there are some new guests checking in.  The owner, Jo Marie enjoys getting to know her guests ( without being too pushy ) and she also enjoys cooking breakfast for them, including some wonderful desserts!
I enjoyed the story of Ellie and Tom.  They met online, and decide to meet in person in Cedar Cove.  Ellie is nervous and excited at the same time.  She really feels like her and Tom have a connection, and they both are looking forward to meeting!   Tom has a suprise for her, and you will have to read the story to find out more!  =)
Maggie and Roy are really trying to put some past mistakes in their marriage behind them, and they are hoping to "rekindle their romance" on this trip to the Rose Harbor Inn.  Will everything turn out OK for their marriage?

And,...Jo Marie is trying to find out more about her handy-man friend Mark.  She dosent know that much about him, and she finds him really interesting. Mark is kind of a quiet kind of guy, and he dosent share too much about himself.  So as Jo Marie asks her friends about him, ( and asks Mark questions ) - she begins to know more about his past.

This book is really hard to put down!  I enjoyed all the story lines and my visit back to Cedar Cove and The Rose Harbor Inn!

Book Tour - Review and Giveaway - Blossom Street Brides by Debbie Macomber

Release Date - March 25, 2014
Publisher: Ballantine Books

I'm a huge fan of Debbie Macomber's books, and her Blossom Street series is one my favorites! Blossom Street Brides is the newest book in the Blossom Street series, I loved it!
If you havent read the other books in this series, this book would be fine as a "stand alone" book.

In this book, we meet Lauren, who works near the yarn shop and has waited years for her boyfriend to propose. She has to make a decision on whether to keep seeing him or break up with him...
It was nice visiting again with Bethanne and Max.  They love each other very much but Bethanne's ex-husband keeps interfering!

And, Lydia ( who owns "A Good Yarn" shop ) is puzzled on who is leaving baskets of yarn in public places around town,   ( there is a  note in each basket of yarn for people to work on the scarf for charity and then take it to Lydia's store. )   Lydia is married and has a family life that she enjoys very much.

I enjoyed the story lines of this book.  With each of these ladies having a unique romance in the book, it was very interesting to follow them and see how their stories turned out!

As each story "unravels" you will find the charm and wonderful characters that Debbie Macomber is known for!
5 stars!

She found herself staring at him, unable to pull her gaze away.
Then, to her utter embarrassment, he removed his sunglasses, stared back at her,
and smiled.
