I enjoyed this book set in Historical times. The main characters are so sweet, and I enjoyed getting to know more about them and what they have gone thru.  As Curt and Deborah spend more time together, their friendship grows.

Set in the beautiful town of Goldendale, Washington this story comes alive with beautiful descriptions of the town and its characters.

Dont miss this wonderful story of true love and Faith!

Review - "Dreaming on Daisies" by Miralee Ferrell

http://miraleeferrell.com/main/
Publication Date:  October 1st, 2014
"Love Blossoms in Oregon #3"
 David C. Cook

About this book:
When her father's debts, brought on by heavy drinking, threaten Leah Carlson's family ranch, she fights to save it. When handsome banker Steven Harding must decline her loan request, he determines to do what he can to help. Just as he arrives to serve as a much-needed ranch hand, Leah's family secrets—and the pain of her past—come to a head. They could destroy everything she's fought for. And they could keep her from ever opening her heart again.

This is western historical romance that offers hope and healing to the deepest wounds in a woman's past.

My Review:
I really enjoyed getting to know Leah and Steven in this book.   Leah is a strong woman, and I admire her qualities.  She is not afraid of hard work, or to let her feelings known.  She is always ready to help others in the community.
As Leah gets to know Steven, she realizes that he is a fair and honest man.  He wants to help her, and for that she is grateful.
She wants her Father's ranch to be a success, and helps her Father in every way that she can, so they can achieve their Goals.

With wonderful characters and a very touching story line, this book was hard to put down!   Historical romance is one of my favorite genres, I really recommend this series to all Historical romance readers!

Review and Facebook party - "Forget me Not" Novella by Miralee Ferrell

Can a Lost Love be Redeemed?

Seven years ago, Julia McKenzie rejected the man she loved, wanting to experience more of life. Now, at the age of twenty-four, she regrets that decision. What will Seth think of her, when they encounter one another hundreds of miles from home? Will the man she cared for understand the direction her life has taken and love her in spite of her choices?

Pastor Seth Russell has never completely forgotten the girl he once courted. When she shows up in his new home of Baker City, all those feelings return. But why is she sneaking around town late at night? Even more important, will she reject him and break his heart again

My thoughts:
I enjoyed reading about Seth in this novella.  He is drawn to Julia, and as their friendship deepens...he begins to feel romantic feelings towards her.  I like the way that Julia has grown since we first met her, she seems emotionally ready for a relationship now.
And, I really enjoyed the descriptions of the town and the characters in Miralee's books, you really feel like you are there visiting with them.

This book could easily be a "stand alone" story, but I recommend that you read all of the books in the "Love Blossoms in Oregon" series to fully understand the characters.

Book Tour - Review and Giveaway "Wishing on Buttercups" by Miralee Ferrell

Wishing on Buttercups by Miralee Ferrell
2nd book in the Love Blossoms in Oregon series
David C. Cook - February 2014

I really enjoyed this story of romance set in the backdrop of the 1880's.   The characters of Beth and Jeffery really pulled me into this book.  They are both hiding secrets from their past, but as they get to know each other, they become friends.  Beth is a artist and Jeffery is a talented writer, yet both of them lack self-confidence in their abilities.  As Beth remembers memories from her past, she begins to unravel things that she needed to know.

This is a good story for anyone who is dealing with low
self-esteem, as it helps you to understand that it's what's on the inside that matters.
The descriptions of the countryside and the town really made me feel like I was there enjoying the beautiful scenery!

I also enjoyed the first book in the "Love Blossoms in Oregon" series, titled "Blowing on Dandelions",  you can read my review here.  Each book can be read as a "stand alone" but, the characters develop if you read them in series order.   If you love Historical Romance, you will really enjoy this book and the entire Series!

More about the book:

Can Love Survive When Secrets Collide?

She’d kept her secrets safely hidden—those from her past, and those in the present. Some things, Beth Roberts knows, a lady simply doesn’t share, even in the 1880’s West. The townspeople would never understand. No one ever has.

Jeffery Tucker, a handsome young writer, has kept his own secrets. He doesn’t have a right to pry into Beth’s affairs but finds himself strangely drawn to her and intrigued by the whiff of mystery surrounding her.

Beth knows that one day someone will unravel the threads of her past. And when two men from her past arrive, the truth might just hurt . . . Beth’s future and her heart.

As shadowy memories surface, Beth sketches the scenes she sees and is shocked by what—and who—her illustrations reveal. Dare she risk her heart again?

Review: Blowing on Dandelions by Miralee Ferrell

Publisher - David C. Cook
  June 2013

From amazon.com
Katherine Galloway knew this moment of calm wouldn’t last, blown away like the dandelion seeds she scattered as a girl. In 1880, three years after her husband’s death, she struggles to run an Oregon boardinghouse and raise two girls alone. Things don't get easier when her critical, domineering mother moves in. Katherine must make the situation work, but standing up for herself and her family while honoring her mother isn't easy. And with a daughter entering the teenage years, the pressure on Katherine becomes close to overwhelming. Then she crosses paths with Micah Jacobs, a widower who could reignite her heart, but she fears a relationship with him might send things over the edge. She must find the strength, wisdom, hope, and faith to remake her life, for everything is about to change.

My thoughts:
While Katherine is doing her best in raising her two girls in a Boardinghouse alone, she also struggles with her relationship with her Mother.  She respects her Mother and really wants to get along with her, but her Mother is critical of everything she does, and wants to tell Katherine how to do things.
I liked how Katherine welcomed all of the Guests that came to her Boardinghouse, even when one woman was "difficult"...
When Micah ( a near by neighbor ) and his son need a place to stay, Katherine welcomes them to her Boardinghouse without regard to the extra work or expense involved with their stay. While she gets to know Micah, she begins to realize that her feelings might be more than "just friends"...but she is a Widow and moving forward in a new romantic relationship takes some time to get used to.  With engaging characters and a fast moving storyline, this story was hard to put down!

I enjoyed the section in the back of the book called "Afterwords", which includes some notes from the Author on why she chose to write this book, some questions about the book, and also a "Sneak Peek" at the second book in this series called "Wishing on Buttercups".

Review: "Love finds you in Bridal Veil, Oregon by Miralee Ferrell

Published January 1st 2010 by Summerside Press

Amidst a backdrop of thievery and murder in historic Bridal Veil, Oregon, a schoolteacher is torn between the memories of a distant love and the man who could be her future. Margaret Garvey had given her heart to Nathaniel, but he left town six years before.
Now she's giving love another chance, but her decision to build a new life with Andrew is shaken when Nathaniel steams back into Bridal Veil on a riverboat to work at the nearby sawmill. When disaster strikes the town and threatens the welfare of its citizens, Margaret will be faced with the most important choice of her life.

My thoughts:
Im a fan of the "Love finds you" series, and really enjoyed this story set in the historical setting of the small town of Bridal Veil, Oregon.  The love story between Margaret and Nathaniel and Andrew is very touching.. Margaret thought that Nathaniel had left her several years ago, and she wasnt sure whether to trust him or not when he returns to Bridal Veil.  The Community of this small town pulls together to try and solve the murder of one of their own, and Margaret meets two Runaway children that are trying to escape to a better way of life.
Without giving too much of the story away...
This story had me turning the pages to see what happens next, it was hard to put down!
I recommend this book to anyone that loves Historical romances!
I also enjoyed the historical facts about this community and the Author's family in the back of this book.
