As Jo Marie is learning how to cope with her husbands death, she decides to purchase a bed and breakfast in Cedar Cove.  She is excited to meet her first two guests,  Josh and Abby.  I like the way that the 3 story lines flow from chapter to chapter, as you get to know more about Jo Marie and her Guests.

Josh has come back to Cedar Cove to visit his stepfather, who is very ill.  A neighbor who lives close to his stepfather helps Josh while he sorts out some feelings from his past..while trying to make peace with his stepfather.

Abby's brother is getting married in Cedar Cove, and while Abby is happy for him, she is worried about facing some painful memories from a accident that happened a long time ago.  As Abby visits with family and friends, she learns about forgiveness and new hope for her future.

Im a big fan of Debbie Macombers books, and am very glad to see some of the characters from the "Cedar Cove" series returning in this new series!
Jo Marie is excited to meet new friends and neighbors, and she is grateful for their advice on managing her new Inn.

This is the first book that Debbie Macomber wrote after the tragic death of her son about a year ago.  And while the storylines involve a loved one passing away, she writes each different story with compassion and thoughtfulness.
