Review: Forbidden Falls by Robyn Carr

Forbidden Falls is #9  ~ in the
popular "Virgin River" series
by Robyn Carr.

Im really enjoying this series, and as I finish each one - I cant wait to read the next one!

  • ISBN-13: 9780778327493
  • Paperback
  • Publication Date: 12/29/2009
Reverend Noah Kincaid moved to Virgin River to re-open an abandoned church he bought on eBay. Like Noah, the place is a little empty inside and needs some loving care.
The young widower arrives ready to roll up his sleeves and build a place of worship and welcome, but he needs some help. And the Lord works in mysterious ways....
With her tight shirts and short skirts, “Pastor's assistant” is not a phrase that springs to mind when Noah meets brassy, beautiful Ellie Baldwin. The former exotic dancer needs a respectable job so she can regain custody of her children. And Noah can’t help but admire her spunk and motherly determination.
The pastor and the stripper: an unlikely team to revitalize a church, much less build a future. The couple has so many differences, but in Virgin River anything is possible, and happiness is never out of the question.

My thoughts....

~ When Noah moves to Virgin River to renovate the abandoned church in Virgin River, he realizes that he will need an assistant.  After interviewing several ladies, he hires Ellie Baldwin.
Ellie is trying to get her 2 children back from her ex-husband and needs a good job.
I found Ellie to be straight-forward and I liked her spirit!
While helping Noah out with the church, they form a friendship with each other.
I also think the friendship that Ellie forms with her neighbor /landlord turns out to be very helpful with her situation and her family.
This is a great romance book with a little bit of suspense and drama woven thru the story.
I give it 5 stars!!
