Singer Ginny Marshall is one signature away from the recording contract of her dreams--a deal that would guarantee success for the former foster child, who still struggles to bury the memories of her painful childhood. But Ginny needs advice from the one person who will look out for her best interests--her former fiance, Brett Miller. She travels to the remote town of Glacier Bay, Alaska, where the town's colorful characters and stunning scenery provide respite from LA's pressures.
In Glacier Bay, Ginny discovers a box of old letters and is swept up in the love story between Clay, an early missionary to Alaska Territory, and Ellie, the woman who traveled there to be his children's governess. When Ginny is reunited with Brett in Glacier Bay, will she discover--as Ellie did--that healing and love are sometimes found in the most unexpected places?
I was swept up in the love story between Ginny and Brett, they are right for each other - but they both struggle to realize their true feelings for one another. As Ginny gets to know Bretts Grandmother better, she realizes how wonderful she is, and what stories that she has to share, including a box of old postcards that describe a wonderful love story that happened in the past..
If you have never been to Alaska,.. or ....if you have, - you will enjoy the gorgeous descriptions of the Alaska wilderness in this book.
I found this story to be one of hope, romance and Community spirit!

Thanks for the visit..
ReplyDeleteVery nice review. I love the post card you used.
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed your review! I like historical romances more than contemporary, but it sounds like this one would give me both.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog Everyday Insanity. I'm in a book club and we are always looking for good reads. We like to keep our reads in the G-PG area.
ReplyDeleteCan you recommend this book to our club? I know we are adults but I like to keep things clean.
I just read a great book. Edenbrooke--A Proper Romance by
Julianne Donaldson. It was so good, it made my time on the elliptical go by fast.
Can't wait to check out your blog.
