Book Review: Bittersweet Surrender by Diann Hunt

Carly Westlake spends her days at a spa ( okay, so she owns the place ), she's dating a hunk, and she's surrounded by chocolate.
She's living the dream...or is she?

When I first saw the cover of this book, it caught my eye and the title sounded intriguing also!  The story did not disappoint me, I thought it was written with humor, even though Carly is going thru some pretty major life situations.   She recently went thru breast cancer treatments, and her Husband left her after a long marriage, but she is determined to move on with her life.

Her best friend, Scott comes in to help her with the books for her Spa, and gives her advice on helping her to lose weight and eating right, which is kind of hard to do in a chocolate spa!   Carly is struggling to lose 20 pounds before her boyfriend comes back to town, and her new houseguest ( Magnolia ) is trying her patience, which dosent help Carly's cravings for chocolate!

I liked how Carly's friends are there to help support her, and I liked Carly's sense of humor thru out the book.

There are some twists and turns to this Romance story, it kept me turning the pages to find out how it turns out!

Hey, don't you just love a sense of humor... it builds you up and refreshes your soul. The book cover is good, and interesting also. I am looking at the book, The World to Come, it has caught my eye, so I want to know more. Blessings Crystal from Ruby's.

Hi Melissa,

At first glance it sounds like Carly is living the dream. I always thought it would be great to work at a spa, but I suppose there are still the normal job stresses no matter where you are.
